Yorkshire's only dedicated private eye hospital
In 2002, a group of Yorkshire based consultant ophthalmologists had a vision of creating a hospital where private and NHS patients could receive the best ophthalmic care.
This would be a special place where patients could have access to the latest ophthalmic treatments conducted by his highly qualified consultant colleagues, representing the major ophthalmic specialties, without leaving Yorkshire. In January 2002, this vision became a reality with the opening of Yorkshire Eye Hospital.
Today, Yorkshire Eye Hospital is an established centre of excellence for people requiring rapid access to ophthalmic diagnosis, treatment and continuing consultant care. Yorkshire Eye Hospital is the region's only independent eye hospital.
