Mitchel Ménage, MB, BS, MRCP, FRCS, FRCOphth, DO
Glaucoma and Cataract
Mr Ménage is a founder of Yorkshire Eye Hospital. Mr Ménage envisages the hospital not only offering excellent patient care for existing techniques but sees it as a centre where the evaluation and appropriate development of exciting new treatments can take place. Mr Ménage says, 'The reaction of patients following successful surgery still gives me a tremendous sense of job satisfaction.'
Mr Ménage has worked as a Consultant Ophthalmologist in Leeds since 1983 and he specialises in cataract and glaucoma patients, where he feels that treatment should be tailored to the individual patient needs.
In his free time, Mr Ménage enjoys fly fishing, literature, playing tennis and gardening.
Credentials
Mr Ménage has held a substantive post in Leeds since 1993, where his is also the Lead Appraiser for ophthalmology.

Mr Ménage has more than 35 peer-reviewed publications on glaucoma and ophthalmic topics and has given more than 53 invited lectures nationally and internationally.
