Yorkshire Eye Hospital is surgeon-owned and operated.
At Yorkshire Eye Hospital, you will be designated to a named individual eye surgeon. Your surgeon will be on the GMC Specialist Register.
This also means that your eye surgeon will have enormous experience and competence in a range of eye disorders and can provide you with expert advice on suitability and the best choice of treatment.
You will have a very high degree of access to your surgeon. Your surgeon will be intimately involved with your post operative care unlike in the other environments where volume demands require that operating surgeons are almost always operating.
Yorkshire Eye Hospital has a collegiate culture, what this means for you is that where there is need for additional expert input into your care, this can be done in-house, across a very wide range of sub-specialists. Should you need it, your surgeon can call upon the expertise of a number of regional & national experts - all in house.
