We pride ourselves in the quality of our service and provide many opportunities to get to know our patients from their very first phone call.
To have a consultation at Yorkshire Eye Hospital, you will need a referral from either your GP or Optometrist. (unless you are seeking laser eye surgery or lens replacement treatment in which case a referral is unnecessary) Once you have this referral, the medical secretary of the consultant to whom you have been referred to will contact you to book an appointment.
If after a consultation your consultant recommends treatment, we will book a theatre date and time if required. After theatre, you will come back for a postoperative check with the consultant who performed your procedure. You may need to come back for more than one follow up visit depending on the problem or if there were any complications.
You will be provided with a nurse's mobile number the day you have your treatment in case of any problems that day and can telephone it until 10pm that night. If you have any problems, we advise you to telephone the hospital before 10am the next morning to speak to a nurse.
