Laser eye surgery suitability

Before you even come in for your consultation, we will want to start understanding your eyes and discuss specific visual challenges and conditions that you may be experiencing. One of our Patient Services Advisors will also ask you questions about your work and your leisure activities. From these questions they will be able to determine whether laser eye surgery would help you in your daily life. It may seem like a lot of information, but it is necessary for us to determine your suitability for laser eye surgery.

After this initial consultation, the Patient Services Advisor you've been speaking to will be in a position to recommend the next step. Laser eye surgery is an elective procedure and we aim to only treat patients who can really benefit from it. If you are a good laser eye surgery candidate, you will need to come in for a consultation. If you're not suitable for eye surgery at the Hospital, your Co-ordinator will inform you of whether you can pursue alternative treatment options through other providers.
