One of the many factors that set us apart from larger laser eye surgery chains is the fact that the person you speak to on the phone is often the same person you will see at the consultation.
A good patient services advisor needs to possess a wide variety of education, experience, skills, and abilities.
Katy Jackson, our Patient Services Advisor joined the Yorkshire Eye Hospital earlier this year.
Katy works closely with the Hospital's eye consultants and marketing team to highlight the Yorkshire Eye Hospital's pioneering treatments and services including state of the art laser eye treatment and implantable lenses.
Katy has a wealth of experience in senior customer focused roles and prior to her appointment, she was a customer service office manager with an international print solutions provider.
Commenting on her position, Katy said: "I am enjoying working with a team at a hospital with such an outstanding reputation. I am very familiar with unrivalled customer service and work hard to ensure that patients receive the best treatment possible."
Commenting on the appointment, Chairman of the Yorkshire Eye Hospital, Ian Johnston, said: "Communicating to existing and future patients is key as we are always launching pioneering eye treatments and latest techniques, performed by some of the UK's leading ophthalmologists. As such, we are very fortunate to attract someone of Katy's caliber and experience. She is a key member of our staff team here at Yorkshire Eye Hospital."
Katy is looking forward to her forthcoming laser eye surgery. "Laser surgery is something that I've always wanted, but never got round to doing. Now I see proof of the benefits it can bring everyday, I've been motivated to go for it. It will make my life much easier, especially when I honeymoon early next year no worrying about losing my expensive prescription sunglasses and weighing my suitcase down with bottles of contact lens solution!".
When she's not at work, Katy enjoys long walks with her fiancé and their dog, and proper camping (i.e. in a tent!).
